To Drink, or to Paint

COFFEE INTRIGUES

+

To drink, or to paintCouple Rene and Aileen Mayol were much intrigued about coffee  painting when they saw ‘Sorbetes ni Gorio’ during an auction for the film ‘Ploning’. They wanted a painting they can place in a good spot in their house but the problem they had then was that their house is of modern architecture and a painting that depicts local flavor would probably get lost or be out of place.

They said they had to have a ‘Sunshine Plata’ in their home, so they took my contact numbers from the ice cream painting and called. They were in for the Season’s Brew that time. Their visit at the Cordillera Coffee marked their first personal experience with an array of coffee paintings. And they felt they had to bring home ‘Solen’s Visit to the Lilystones’.

On December 19, ‘Solen’ was delivered to the couple’s  office at the First Philippine Holdings, Benpress Building in Pasig City.

I know most people are still intrigued by coffee as a painting medium, as it really is. Visit the galleries on this website so you may get to see more.
